SUPPORTING YOUTH AND OUTDOORS INITIATIVES

At Mountainside Gear Rental, we are committed to both sharing our love of the outdoors and giving back to the community. To achieve this goal, we have partnered with several organizations whose mission and vision closely align with our own.

At Mountainside Gear Rental we are very proud to work with and support these organizations, as we feel they best represent everything we love best about the outdoors and the Colorado community itself.

  • Colorado Parks and Wildlife: Mountainside Gear Rental is the exclusive partner of the Colorado Parks & Wildlife SOLE (Schools and Outdoor Learning Environments) Program. The SOLE Program is available to elementary students in 50 schools in Colorado, and is designed to encourage kids to get outside, enjoy the outdoors, and learn in the process! Mountainside Gear Rental is proud to support this initiative by providing a 26-person snowshoeing event, multiple Family Nature Nights at several metro area schools, and an annual fall event.
  • Colorado Mountain Club: The Colorado Mountain Club is a very special and unique partner to Mountainside Gear Rental. The CMC was founded in 1912 by Coloradoans who were passionate about all the things we value as well – adventure, education and preservation of the outdoors. Because Mountainside Gear Rental and CMC have such similar values, the part
  • nership was an incredibly natural fit, and we are proud to be the exclusive gear provider for the CMC and their events.

  • Jefferson County Open Space: Mountain Side Gear Rental partners with Jeffco Open Space each year to bring at least 24 people to each of the five trail clean-up days scheduled throughout the year. As a Jeffco-based business, Mountainside Gear Rental is passionate about preserving and keeping the trails in this area clean, beautiful and usable for all who want to enjoy them.
  • Second Annual Gear & Coat Drive for the Homeless: In October, Mountainside Gear Rental will again partner with Heading Home, a coalition of non-profits and government agencies including Jefferson County Libraries and Social Services. We had a hugely successful event in October 2017, and we look forward to an even more successful event in 2018.
